So, you’ve decided you want ripped, perfect abs. It’s going to be a tough job to get them, but the first stage is knowing exactly how to get a six pack. So many men and women put huge amounts of effort in without ever seeing the abs they want because they’re going about it the wrong way.

Luckily, you’re one step ahead of most because by reading this article you’ll know exactly how to get a six pack! Many places overcomplicate this, so here is my two step plan to getting a six pack.

Step 1 – Burn the fat
This is the number one mistake washboard-ab-wannabees make. You can have the biggest ab muscles in the world, but if you have a layer of fat covering them no one is ever going to be able to see them! Doing sit-ups, crunches, leg-ups and any other sort ab workouts is great for building the muscle but doesn’t actually burn any calories, so you need to do some cardio exercise as well. Jogging, cycling and swimming are all good ways to burn fat. You also need to make sure you have a healthy diet. Eating lots of junk food is effectively shooting yourself in the foot if you want to get a six pack.

I know what you’re thinking – this already sounds like a lot of work! Well, the truth is, it is a lot of work. But just think of the end result if you need motivation. It’s a great feeling having a six pack!

Step 2 – Build the muscle
Once you’ve started to burn the fat, you now need to build the muscle so in time it’ll burst through to become visible. Like any other muscle, building your ab muscles requires you to exercise them. Things like sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts and v-ups are all ways to do this, but you need to be consistent. Set out a plan for the future and stick to it, with as much variety each day as possible. Don’t try to do too much too soon or you’ll face burnout.

So that’s it! Follow these two steps and you will have a six pack in the future. It all comes down to burning the fat and building the muscle. Of course, it is how you go about these steps that will determine whether you are successful. You need to motivated and dedicated to get a six pack. Knowing how to get a six pack is just one part of the puzzle, so keep browsing this site for all the information you’ll ever need.
